The long wait for the I-League clubs and the fans are over as the I-League 2023-2024 season is set to officially commence from tomorrow i.e. 28th October, 2023. The season officially commences with a big match in Srinagar as the hosts Real Kashmir FC is set to take on Rajasthan United FC from 2 P.M Indian Standard Time (IST). later that day, it will one of the title favorites Gokulam Kerala FC vs the newly inducted team into the competition Inter Kashi FC.
The last season of the I-league was a historic edition as for the first time that the I-League champion side was promoted to the now new top division of Indian Football, the Indian Super League. Roundglass Punjab FC eventually went on to become the champion for the I-League 2022-2023 season beating the Sreenidi Deccan FC in the league table. Roundglass Punjab FC, or rather known as the Punjab FC due to competition rules, is currently participating in the ongoing ISL season.
