There has been a slight change of kick-off time for the 2nd match of the Indian Super League 2023-2024 match between the hosts Mohun Bagan Super Giant and the away team Punjab FC to be played at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan.
The Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-2024 season opener for the Mohun Bagan Super Giant and the Punjab FC was initially scheduled to kick-off at 8 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) as usual.
Why Mohun Bagan Super Giant vs Punjab FC match delayed in ISL 2023-2024?
However, with a long rain delay in the first match of the day between the Odisha FC and Chennaiyin FC at Bhuvneshwar's Kalinga Stadium, the match in Kolkata has also been affected with a slight change of kick-off time.
The Odisha FC vs Chennaiyin FC match was suspended for a considerable amount of time due to heavy thunderstorm in Bhuvaneswar. The match resume after a long break from the point the match was suspended, which was just a couple of minutes after the kick-off. Thus, there is still a considerable amount of match time still left to be played in Bhuvaneswar between the two clubs.
With that in mind the Indian Super League (ISL) have officially announced that the match between Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Punjab FC have been affected too. The match that was originally set to kick-off at 8 PM IST, is now expected to be played from 8:35 PM IST unless further delay.
