Twitter reacts to Kerala Blasters Top of Indian Super League Points Table

At the end of Kerala Blasters vs Hyderabad FC on Sunday, on the 9th of January, Kerala Blasters FC finds themselves top of the Indian Super League's points table with 17 points from 10 matches played so far.

Kerala Blasters is one of the top teams of the Indian Super League (ISL), and is one of the founding members of the ISL. 

The club enjoyed a very successful time during the initial three season of the Indian Super League, having reached the final on two occasions, but went down to erstwhile Atletico de Kolkata or ATK in both the occasions.

Ever since that 2016 season, the team has struggled to put up performance as like initial three season, as they couldn't make it to the playoffs even once. In that time frame, the club have also changed numerous number of Head Coaches.

But finally in 2021-2022 Indian Super League season, it seems like that the Kerala based franchise or club has finally made the knots connect each other.

They had a quite a good summer transfer window, bringing in some quality foreign players, and there is no taking away of the credit that the new Head Coach Ivan Vukomanovic deserves.

Even though the Blasters got off to a bad start, losing 4-2 to ATK Mohun Bagan, they picked up their first win of the season against Odisha FC in their 4th match of the campaign.

Ever since then, they have continued their winning run, beating Mumbai City FC, southern rivals Chennaiyin FC and Hyderabad FC, while had three draws in between that.

With a 42nd minute goal from Spanish striker Alvaro Vazquez, Kerala Blasters FC defeated the Hyderabad FC on the 9th of January, after which they now finds themselves at the top of the league table. With Mumbai City FC set to take on Bengaluru FC, their stay might be short-lived, but the fans really enjoyed the moment, seeing their favourite at the top of the mountain.

It's taken them 8 years, almost 10 coaches (full time and interim), several false dawns and a million heartbreaks.
But here we are, Kerala Blasters on top of the ISL table. You knew they deserved a fairytale.. And now Vukomanovic is making them dream.
