The AFC Cup 2023-2024 action resumes on Monday as the Basundhara Kings is set to host Indian Super League club Odisha FC in their 2nd AFC Cup match after suffering defeat in their first match.
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) club Basundhara Kings had a horror start to their AFC Cup 2023-2024 campaign as they had to bow out to Maldives club Maziya Sports and Recreation Club in their first match of the campaign where they were the favourites to win the match.
Basundhara Kings have a big dream of becoming the a dominant force in the Asia after conquering the Bangladesh domestic league. However, so far the club has struggled to live up to their dream.
Meanwhile, visiting team Odisha FC also suffered a defeat against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in their first AFC Cup match. This is Odisha FC's first appearance in the AFC Cup after winning the Hero Super Cup earlier this year.
