Indian Super League club East Bengal FC is set to complete the signing of former Mohun Bagan defender Gursimrat Singh Gill ahead of the new Indian Super League 2023-2024 season with his younger brother Prabhsukhan Gill also on his way to red and gold brigade.

After another season of the disappointment for the East Bengal FC and its legacy fans, the club is looking to form a much stronger team ahead of the new season.

They have already appointed a former ISL winning coach Carles Cuadrat as their head coach. East Bengal have been very busy in the transfer market this season.

After having secured some top players earlier, the club is now set to complete the signing of former ATK Mohun Bagan defender Gursimrat Singh Gill, who last featured for the Mumbai City FC, however was just a fringe player.

East Bengal is set to sign Gursimrat Gill on a free transfer after he left Mumbai City FC earlier after his contract expired. Other than that, East Bengal FC is also signing his younger brother and goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill from Kerala Blasters.

East Bengal have been very busy in the transfer market. They have signed midfielders Saul Crespo from Odisha FC, Borja Herrera and Javi Siverio from Hyderabad FC.

The club has also signed defender Lalchungnunga on a permanent deal after initially joining on loan from Sreenidi Deccan FC. Other than that, the red and gold brigade has also signed Nishu Kumar, Harmanjot Khabra, Nandha Kumar Sekar, Edwin Sydney Vanspaul, Mandar Rao Dessai etc.
