The defending Indian Super League champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant has officially announced the arrival of current Albania international team striker Armando Sadiku as their latest acquisition for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-2024 season.

The defending champions Mohun Bagan is looking to build a squad that can only fight to defend the Hero ISL Trophy, but also a team that can fight for the ultimate glory in the AFC Cup 2023-2024.

And to further strengthen their hope for their maiden, and India's maiden continental glory, Mohun Bagan has today officially announced the signing of Armando Sadiku, the current Albania international striker.

Sadiku is a lethal striker who played for the FC Cartagena team in the LaLiga 2 in the 2022-2023 season. He featured 31 matches and scored 8 goals and is currently a part of the Albania national team in the ongoing European qualifiers.

Mohun Bagan, formerly ATK Mohun Bagan, beat Bengaluru FC in a penalty shootout in the Hero ISL 2022-2023 Final to claim their first ever Indian Super League (ISL) title and the ambition is just now high and high.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant have been very busy in the ongoing summer transfer window, roping in some top quality players. The club has managed to swoop in Australia A-League winning striker Jason Cummings for the next season to partner Sadiku and Dimitri Petratos.

They have also splashed a big chunk of cash to get the services of India international midfielder Anirudh Thapa from Chennaiyin FC. Meanwhile, with some big incoming, there is expected some big outgoings too. Captain Pritam Kotal could be heading to Kerala Blasters while winger Liston Colaco has huge interest from Odisha FC and its gaffer Sergio Lobera.

Other than that, Mohun Bagan had agreed a pre-contract with defender Anwar Ali before even the window had opened. Reportedly the club is now pursuing another India international midfielder Sahal Abdul Samad.
