Indian Super League club Chennaiyin FC have agreed terms with the young Indian prospect and defender Bikash Yumnam to join the team in the January transfer window for the remainder of the season.
Bikash Yumnam is a young Indian defender who plays for the current I-League club Roundglass Punjab FC. Yumnam is one of the most promising and talented defender in India at the age of just 19-years and is destined for big things in future.
Meanwhile Chennaiyin FC is currently looking to reinforce their defence as they approach the January transfer window that starts from the 1st of January.
The Chennai based club has so far had a good run in the Indian top-tier so far and currently sits 7 in the Indian Super League (ISL) Points table 2022-2023 with 14 points in 11 matches so far. They just a step away from making it to the playoffs of the competition.
While the team has done well upfront in terms of scoring goals with Petar Sliskovic and El Khayati scoring bags of goals every match, but the defence has been very leaky as they have conceded 23 goals and have scored 21 goals.
And to fix the defensive woes, the Chennaiyin FC have identified the young Indian defender as the ideal choice to solve that woes and would allow coach Thomas Brdarić to play more with his tactics and playing XI.

With the winter transfer window opening from the 1st of January, almost all the teams are looking to further improve their team and Chennaiyin FC is said to be one of them. While Bikash is their prime target, they are also said to be targetting some midfielders in the window while there is discussions in the team regarding foreign striker Kwame Karikari, who has failed to live-up to the pre-season expectation.
