With new boss at the helm, Chennaiyin FC have gone berserk in the transfer market, securing the services of Iranian centre-back Vafa Hakhamaneshi and Fallou Diagne. The club has secured the services of the former Ghana youth international.

The transfer market in India is in full flow as each and every teams look to strengthen their team. With new boss Thomas Brdarić at the helm, Chennaiyin FC is going through a major rehaul, with number of new additions, especially in terms of foreigns core.

Former Ghana youth international striker Kwame Karikari is now a latest edition to the team, according to IFTWC. Karikari is in good form, scoring a total of 17 goals from all competitions last season while playing for Thailand club Swat Cat.

Of his all goals, he scored 13 goals in the Thai League, the top division in Thailand football pyramid. He ended the season as the joint 7 highest goal scorer of the season in the Thai League.

The 30-years-old striker, who is also capable of playing on both the wings, has a good experience of playing in Asian continental, thus, settling into the Indian conditions won't be a problem for the Ghanaian. He has previously played in Qatar, UAE, Uzbekistan before switching to join Nakhon Ratchasima FC, also known as Swat Cats in Thai League last year.

Karikari started his career at Inter Allies FC before making a switch to Sweden based club AIK. He has also enjoyed a good chuck of his early days on loan in various countries, including the likes of Turkey and Norway.

Chennaiyin FC began their transfer business with the contract extension of Anirudh Thapa. They bagged the services of defender Fallou Diagne and Vafa Hakhamaneshi to add extra strength to their defence line. They have been pretty active in the transfer market, as they have roped in domestic players like Vincy Barreto, I-League's emerging player from last season Yumkhaibam Jiteshwor Singh, Mohammed Rafique and Romario Jesuraj.
