But today, Indian Football News will only focus on the runners-up from last year's ISL, ATK Mohun Bagan. With the news circulating everywhere that ATK Mohun Bagan's forward David Williams could leave the club, and the fact that ATK Mohun Bagan is searching for an attacking midfielder, today, Indian Football News will list 3 players that ATK Mohun Bagan should target.

With the rule that is mandatory to have an AFC affiliated player in squad in the ISL and in the AFC Cup, if David Williams gets released, then a replacement is must needed. We would also like to confirm that, these are not any transfer rumour, it's just our opinion.

James Troisi

The first name on our list is a experienced A-League campaigner, James Troisi. Troisi is a 32-year-old former Australia international attacking midfielder, who currently plays for A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers.

Troisi had a great season with Western Sydney Wanderers having scored 4 goals and 7 assists in 24 appearances in the A-League this season.

James Troisi started his career at FC Adelaide City and has been part of Newcastle United in the Premier League. However, he doesn't have any Premier League appearance for the club. He has also featured for Juventus and Atalanta in Italy.

James Troisi's experience and consistency could play a pivotal role in any of the Indian Super League club, however, the midfielder is contracted till 2022 with his current club and would require a transfer fee to sign him up.

Dimitri Petratos

The 2nd name on this list is also a former Australia international attacking midfielder Dimitri Petratos, who is currently playing in the Saudi Professional League for Al-Wahda, who have been relegated to the 2nd division.

However, the former Australia international had a terrific season having netted 9 times and also came up with 1 assist. Petratos has been a very consistent player having scored 30 goals and 22 assists in the last 4 years.

Dimitri Petratos has a good experience of playing in the Asian continent having played in 4 different Asian countries such as Australia, Malaysia, South Korea and now Saudi Arabia.

However, it won't be that easy to get him as the player has another year left on his contract with Al-Wahda, but since the club have been relegated to 2nd division he might be available on a cheaper price.

Omar Abdulrahman

Omar Abdulrahman might be a familiar name to ATK Mohun Bagan's fans as the player was linked with a move to ATK Mohun Bagan last year too, however the deal didn't happened.

But this year, the story is different as Omar Abdulrahman's contract with his current team FC Shabab Al-Ahli is set to expire at the end of June and is the only player available on free transfer on this list.

Omar Abdulrahman's inclusion in the Indian Super League could be a big one for the Indian football. Omar Abdulrahman was once considered the wonderkid of Asian football and has won numerous honours throughout his career.

Omar Abdulrahman has seen success all-around and was once had a trial with Premier League club Manchester City. He is the kind of players ATK Mohun Bagan management is searching for.

Omar Abdulrahman has scored 48 goals and 92 assists in his glorious career so far in 202 appearances. Omar Abdulrahman might also want to try out a new challenge and may consider coming to India. It's about whether ATK Mohun Bagan management would go back to their former target once again.
