The news of Joni Kauko to ATK Mohun Bagan has broken out and spreading like fire. Joni Kauko, who is currently part of the Finland's Euro 2020 squad, has excited the fans of the green and maroon team.

But according to the latest report on Football Monk, the Indian Super League 2020-2021 runners-up has targeted another Euro 2020 player if the deal with Joni Kauko doesn't go through, and that player is said to be North Macedonian centre-forward Ivan Trickovski.

And on 21st June, ATK Mohun Bagan's social media post about Euro 2020 raised to the speculation that a Euro 2020 player is on the way to Mohun Bagan. Later, some news outlets revealed that Joni Kauko is the player that ATK Mohun Bagan was hinting at.
Joni Kauko started his footballing career with FC Inter Turku. After a couple of years with them, he signed for another Finland team FC Lahti. He has also played in the German lower divisions. He played for Dennis side Esbjerg fB last season. His contract expires this month and will be a free agent after that.
Joni Kauko made his Finland debut in 2012 and made more than 25 appearances. Joni Kauko is considered as Finland's Messi by a lot of Finland fans.
Ivan Trickovski to ATK Mohun Bagan ?
Another player said to be approached by ATK Mohun Bagan is North Macedonian centre-forward Ivan Trickovski, who also featured in the Euro 2020, mainly as Goran Pandev's substitute.
Ivan Trickovski is a 34-year-old centre-forward and plays football for AEK Larnaca, a Cyprus first division side. However, the player is still under contract with his current club till next year and a transfer fee for a 34-year-old is very unlikely.
Ivan Trickovski has enjoyed a glorious career having scored 145 goals in 393 appearances and can operate on any of the forward positions. Last season itself he has scored 16 goals in 30 appearances. He made his national team debut in 2010 and has featured 61 times till today and has scored 6 goals.
