Inter Kashi beat Rajasthan United Kalinga Super Cup 2024

Inter Kashi produced a 5-star performance in the qualifying match for the Kalinga Super Cup 2024 as Inter Kashi picked-up 5-0 win over Rajasthan United FC to qualify for the Group D of the Kalinga Super Cup 2024 edition.

Before the group stage action begins tomorrow in the Kalinga Super Cup 2024, there was a spot open in Group D. I-League sides Inter Kashi and Rajasthan United faced-off today for the that spot.

In a dominating performance, Inter Kashi beat Rajasthan United 5-0. Mario Barco scored a brace while Edmund Lalrindika, Tomba Singh and Mohammad Ajsal scored 1 goal each for the Kashi based side.

Inter Kashi started the match putting constant pressure on the Rajasthan United FC defence. Rajasthan United failed to link-up multiple passes as a result of Inter Kashi's dominating press.

Thanks to the dominant press from Inter Kashi players, Mario Barco scored the first goal of the match at the 10th minute of the match.

Kashi continued its dominance over Rajasthan, however, the latter team started to slow down the game and played small passes among themselves to gain some momentum. As a result, Rajasthan United FC did create some chances, but none of them were clear cut chances.

Towards the end of the first half, Inter Kashi once again got the momentum their way and continued to press the Rajasthan side. In the last 5 or 6 minutes, Inter Kashi had the opportunity to score a further 2 or 3 goals with 2 shots hitting the crossbar. The first-half ended 1-0 in favour of Inter Kashi.

In the second half, it was a much open game where both the teams created a great number of opportunities until Edmund Lalrindika connected a brilliant off a cross from former Rajasthan United player Gyamar Nikum, who is on loan with Inter Kashi from Mumbai City FC.

Mario Barco scored the third goal of the match for Inter Kashi from the penalty spot after Rajasthan goalkeeper conceded a foul on Sandeep Mandi. Meanwhile both Tomba Singh and Mohammad Ajsal scored in the dying minutes of the match to seal a 5-0 win over their I-League compatriot.

As a result of the win, Inter Kashi now finds itself in Group D of the Kalinga Super Cup 2024, what is nothing less than a group of death. The Group has 3 ISL teams Bengaluru FC, FC Goa and the hosts and the defending champions Odisha FC. The group stage action kicks-off from the 9th of January with Group A matches as East Bengal take on Hyderabad FC from 2 PM while Mohun Bagan Super Giant take on Sreenidi Deccan FC from 7:30 PM IST.
