But, since the match has started, many fans are wondering why Bengaluru FC captain Sunil Chhetri is not playing for Bengaluru FC today.

Earlier on today, Chhetri scored from the spot to seal the win for Indian football team against Bangladesh.
Kerala Blasters FC vs Bengaluru FC match result
Meanwhile, Bengaluru FC have suffered a 2-1 defeat to Kerala Blasters in the opening match of the Indian Super League 2023-2024 season. Bengaluru did not play the best of football and Kerala Blasters FC capitalise on that. The first goal was a own goal by debutant Keziah Veendorp while the 2nd goal scored by Adrian Luna was a mistake by the goalkeeper and skipper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
Though Bengaluru FC scored one goal back towards the last couple of minutes thanks to substitute Curtis Main, they were not upto the mark in the opening match of the Indian Super League 2023-2024.
