The Indian senior football team and the India U16 football team successfully won their respective edition of the South Asian Football Federation, SAFF Championship this year, and it is now time for the Indian U19 football team to begin its U19 SAFF Championship campaign today against Bangladesh.
The Indian senior football team under the leadership of captain Sunil Chhetri, beat Kuwait football team to win the SAFF Championship in July this year. Then later this year in September, the Indian U16 team won the SAFF U16 Championship beating Bangladesh in the Final.
It is now time for the India U19 football team to repeat the same in the SAFF U19 Championship to be played in Nepal from the 21st of September till the 30th of September.
The Indian football U19 team will be coached by Shuvendu Panda. The coach has announced the formidable squad that can challenge for the victory as the Indian football team begins it SAFF Championship 19 tournament with the big match against neighbor Bangladesh on the 21st of September.

Defenders: Thomas Kanamoottil Cherian, Jahangir Ahmad Shagoo, Vijay Marandi, A Siba Prasad, Manabir Basumatary, Surajkumar Singh Ngangbam and Ricky Meetei.
Midfielders: Manglentheng Kipgen, Ishaan Shishodia, Arjun Singh Oinam, Yash Chikro, Ebindas Yesudasan, Raja Harijan and Thumsol Tongsin.
Forwards: Gwgwmsar Goyary, Sahil Khurshid, Linky Meitei Chabungbam, Kelvin Singh Taorem, Naoba Meitei and Dinesh Singh Soubam.
