The Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 edition has reached its pinnacle as the semi-finals of the tournament was played out on the 9th of August. The first semi-final of the day was played between Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr and Al Shorta.
Al-Nassr 2nd in their group behind Al Shabab but then went on to beat Raja Club Athletic 3-1 to reach the semi-finals of the competition along with Al-Shorta, Al-Hilal and Al Shabab.

Al-Nassr were tied against Al-Shorta in the semi-final 1 while Al-Hilal played against Al-Shabab. In an exciting match played at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium, it is Ronaldo's goal that sealed Al-Nassr's place into the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023.
The match was full of action in the first half between both the teams. While Al-Nassr dominated the proceedings, they were not able to find the back of the net, until Cristiano Ronaldo put the ball to the back of the net in the 32nd minute of the match, but, with the intervention from the VAR, the goal was cancelled.
That's how the first-half ended and an exciting 2nd half awaited us. In the 2nd half, the same story continued where Al-Nassr were once again the dominant side but failed to score.
But finally this time Cristiano Ronaldo gave Al-Nassr the lead in the match with a penalty kick goal. After a foul on Al Nassr's new signing Sadio Mane, Cristiano Ronaldo converted the penalty kick with calm and composed kick.
Another penalty kick was awarded to Al-Nassr at the 86th minute, but after VAR check, it was cancelled. And that's how the match ended. Despite constant pressure from the Al Nassr side, Al-Shorta someone managed to not concede more than 1 goal.
Meanwhile in the other semi-final of the tournament, Al-Hilal beat Al-Shabab 3-1 despite one player being sent off at the 25th minute mark with Al Hilal leading by just 1-0.
With that, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, the two bitter rivals in Saudi Arabia, will now square off in the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 that is to be played on the 12th of August 11:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). Meanwhile, watch the highlights of the Al-Shorta vs Al-Nassr match below.
