Former Liverpool FC and Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino is set to follow the footsteps of some of the top players recently who made a move to the Saudi Pro League as the forward is set to sign for Al-Ahli to play in the next season of the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

Brazilian international striker Roberto Firmino, who was a part of the Anfield side since after 2015 joining then from TSG Hoffenheim, is set to leave the team after a brilliant 8 years spell with the club as he is set to complete his move to the Saudi Pro League.

Firmino, who is set to be out of contract at Liverpool FC and is set to officially leave the club on the 1st July, had approaches from various other European as well as Brazilian clubs, however, after Al-Ahli's approach and rounds of discussion between the club and the player, he is now set to join the side from the upcoming season on a free transfer.

Roberto Firmino featured in a total of 256 matches in the English Premier League (EPL) for the Liverpool FC and scored 82 goals and 55 assists. He featured in a total of 362 matches for the Liverpool FC and scored 111 goals and 79 assists.

He also won the Champions League, Premier League, Super Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup with the Anfield side.

And now after a long spell of 8 years with the club, Roberto Firmino is set to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli on a free transfer at the end of contract with English side. He will join former Chelsea FC goalkeeper Edouard Mendy in the team after the goalkeeper agreed terms with the club earlier.
