Kerala Blasters FC offered contract to Dorny Romero Indian Super League ISL 2023-2024

After finishing 5th in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-2023 season, Kerala Blasters FC is looking to build a formidable squad for next season and go for the title. And now, after securing the services of Jaushua Sotirio, the Blasters have now reportedly offered a contract to current Dominican Republic International striker Dorny Romero.

Dorny Romero is a 25-years-old current Dominican Republic International striker who is currently playing for the Club Always Ready in the Bolivian Primera División or Bolivian División Professional, first tier league in Bolivia.

Born at El Seibo in Dominican Republic on 4th September 1995, Romero began playing football at the age of 14 for his school football club. He signed his first professional football contract with the Delfines del Este FC in 2017 and moved to Cibao FC the same year. He then joined Mexican club Venados FC in 2020 but made a move to Real Santa Cruz in Bolivia in 2021.

He scored 17 goals in 51 matches in all competitions for Santa Cruz before making a switch to other Bolivian side Club Always Ready in January 2023.

He has thus far featured in 11 matches for the club in the league and has scored 8 goals. He has also played 2 matches each in the Domestic Cup and in the Copa Libertadores.

Kerala Blasters FC were a decent team in terms of scoring goals in the Indian Super League (ISL) this season. Dimitrios Diamantakos was the highlight for the side with 10 goals and the Greek striker is set to remain with the side while Jaushua Sotirio is going to replace the outgoing Australian striker Apostolos Giannou.

Head Coach Ivan Vukomanovic will be looking to take the Kerala Blasters to their first ever Indian Super League (ISL) title next season and thus he really looking to improve his forward line with his defence and midfield already looking settled.

Kerala Blasters FC is working hard in the transfer market this season and trying to get all the deals done as quickly as possible so that they can have an extensive pre-season camp. Like mentioned above, Jaushua Sotirio has already signed for the club, coming in from A-League side Newcastle Jets.

Club captain Jessel Carneiro has moved on as he is likely to join club's biggest rival Bengaluru FC for next season. Experienced campaigner Harmanjot Khabra could be on his way to East Bengal club while goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill's future is currently uncertain at the club.

Meanwhile the team has agreed a deal including transfer fee to Bengaluru FC to sign their right wing-back Prabir Das for next season. TRAU FC right-back Naresh Singh is also being looked at while ISL winning defender Slavko Damjanovic could be another foreign addition at the club in their defence line with the negotiations currently ongoing.
