Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters are two hugely supported sides from the Southern part of India. The two clubs share a great rivalry, as a result of which we have seen some great matches between the two sides.
One of those matches took place this season in the Indian Super League (ISL) when Bengaluru FC hosted Kerala Blasters in the ISL Playoffs 2023 where a controversial Goal from Bengaluru captain Sunil Chhetri led Kerala Blasters head coach Ivan Vukomanovic to lead his team out of the match with majority of the extra-time left to be played.
Now surprisingly, the two rivals is said to have agreed on a transfer of right-back Prabir Das from the Bengaluru FC to the Kerala Blasters FC for an undisclosed fee for the upcoming season.
According to a latest report on Khelnow website, Prabir Das, the Bengaluru FC right-back, formerly a ATK Mohun Bagan player, is set to sign for Kerala Blasters FC on a multi-year deal after the Blasters have agreed to pay an undisclosed transfer few for the player.
Prabir Das joined Bengaluru FC last season as part of swap deal with ATK Mohun Bagan where the right-back joined the Southern side while Bengaluru's Ashique Kuruniyan joined the Green and Maroon brigade from Kolkata.
Prabir played about 29 matches this season including all competitions and was mainly deployed as a right wing-back in 5-3-2 formation by Bengaluru FC's head coach Simon Grayson.
As for both the club's performance in the ISL 2022-2023 season, Bengaluru FC produced a stunning comeback to finish 4th in the ISL 2022-2023 points table and eventually lost the ISL final to ATK Mohun Bagan, Kerala Blasters FC finished 5th in the points table.
