The transfer window in Indian football has officially shut on the 31st of August meaning that no transfers that is involving transfer fee, or loan deal, or swap deals are not possible, however, the free players can still be signed by any Indian club.

This year's transfer window was quite interesting with some big moves that also happened, while some huge names left their club to pursue a career at a different club.

Today, in this article, the Indian Football News covers all the big moves that happened during the transfer window, involving both the overseas players and domestic players.

1. Lalengmawia Ralte (Apuia)

Lalengmawia, who also goes by the name Apuia, joining Mumbai City FC for a reported record transfer fee in Indian football history has to be the biggest transfer of this summer transfer window in Indian football this year.

Apuia was the most in-demand player for this summer transfer window after winning the Indian Super League Emerging Player of the Year award playing for NorthEast United.

Apuia had another year left on his contract with NorthEast United and initially a total 5 clubs were interested at the services of the player, but it all came down to 2 teams (Mumbai City FC and ATK Mohun Bagan) as the days progressed. And a late surge from Mumbai City FC finally sealed the deal for a reported transfer fee of more than 2 crore indian rupees.

2. Hugo Boumous

Hugo Boumous, who has been on terrific form ever since arriving in the Indian Football scene with FC Goa. The attacking midfielder joined the Mumbai City FC last summer from FC Goa for a then record transfer fee.

There were news of Hugo Boumous shifting to another City Football Group owned team, then it was likey that he will stay with them, but for some unknown reason, Hugo wanted to leave the club and ATK Mohun Bagan took advantage of that paid a huge transfer fee to Mumbai City FC to secure his signing.

Hugo Boumous showed his class playing for the Mariners in the 2 AFC Cup matches few days ago this month.

3. Liston Colaco

Liston Colaco is another big name to join the Mariners this season. His services was secured earlier in the transfer window for then record transfer fee for an Indian player.

Liston Colaco, who can play on the both wings as well as Attacking Midfielder was on ATK Mohun Bagan's priority list and started chasing him from the January window. Colaco player 19 matches in the ISL last season and scored 2 goals and 3 assists. After joining the Mariners, he found the back of the net against Maziya in the AFC Cup and also chipped in with 2 assists.

4. Amrinder Singh

India's 2nd choice goalkeeper Amrinder Singh has joined the ATK Mohun Bagan team this season from the ISL champions of last season, Mumbai City FC on a free transfer.

Amrinder Singh led the Mumbai City FC to to double last season winning the both League Winners' Shield and the ISL Trophy beating the ATK Mohun Bagan on both the occasions, with Amrinder as the captain. However, the custodian had already agreed a pre-contract with ATK Mohun Bagan from the January month.

5. Adrian Luna

Adrian Luna, who signs for the Kerala Blasters from the A-League champions Melbourne City FC, is a top signing by the Kerala based team. Luna, the attacking midfielder will bring the much needed creativity in the Kerala Blasters team.

Adrian Luna last season was exceptional in Melbourne City FC's run to the A-League title. The midfielder recorded 3 goals and 4 assists to lead the City Football Group owned team to their maiden title.

6. Jorge Pereyra Diaz

Jorge Pereyra Diaz, another player who joins the Kerala Blasters team. Diaz has joined the Blasters on loan from Argentine club Platense.

The Argentine centre-forward has had a great start to the new season scoring 2 goals and a assist in the 7 matches they have played this year. Jorge Pereyra Diaz is expected to be one of the top strikers this season.

7. Alvaro Vazquez

Kerala Blasters' new addition upfront Alvaro Vazquez is another big name to join the Indian Super League this season. The striker with the experience of playing in the La Liga was chased by 3 ISL clubs, but Kerala Blasters struck the deal.

The striker has played more than 150 La Liga matches has scored more than 25 goals. The striker is touted to be the leading striker for Kerala Blasters while Jorge might play on the wings, all depends on the head coach, but surely, Alvaro Vazquez is a big addition.
