Salam Ranjan Singh left heartfelt message for his former teammates after signing for Chennaiyin FC

The new Chennaiyin FC defender Salam Ranjan Singh, who left ATK Mohun Bagan to join the Chennai based Indian Super League team, shared a heartfelt message for his former teammate.

The 25-year-old joined ATK from East Bengal in 2019, but couldn't manage to get enough game time. When ATK Mohun Bagan joined the Indian Super League, due to him already having a contract with ATK, his contract was shifted to ATK Mohun Bagan. He could only manage to get only 1 appearance.

Due to lack of game time and a number of clubs were interested at his services, the Manipur born defender asked for a early contract termination, which ATK Mohun Bagan management agreed on. He was later revealed as a latest aquisition by the Chennaiyin FC.

Before joining his new club, Salam Ranjan Singh had a message for his old teammates at ATK and ATK Mohun Bagan. He took to his social media (Instagram) account to share a heartfelt message for his former teammates.

An emotional Salam Ranjan Singh shared on Instagram post, "I will like to Thank everyone at this beautiful club for all the moment we've shared. The management, staff, Coaches, players and amazing supporters of this club @atkmohunbaganfc, my best wishes to everyone at the club."

Under that post, he received a lot of likes from his former teammates such as Sandesh Jhingan. Dheeraj Singh, Jobby Justin, Pritam Kotal, Michael Soosairaj, Jayesh Rane and his former ATK captain Agus Garcia also left best wishes for the defender for his future.

Salam Ranjan Singh started his football career with Pune FC. He played for their Under 18 team first then was promoted to the senior, however, after spending a successful loan with Bengaluru FC in the I-League, the blues completed the move permanently.

Salam Ranjan Singh then joined East Bengal in 2017. During his days at the Red and Gold army, Salam Singh was called up to the Indian national team.

Salam Ranjan Singh has already completed his move to Chennaiyin FC and would hope that he will be able to turnaround his career with the Chennai based franchise.
