All-time Indian Super League top goal-scorers, where are they now ?

Since the inception of Indian Super League in 2014, the league has seen a lot of quality strikers come into the league and prove their worth.

From the likes of Ferran Corominas (Coro) to Roy Krishna, Steven Mendoza to Marcelinho have made name for themselves playing in India and have gained quite the fan base in the country.

All-time Indian Super League top goal-scorers, where are they now ?


Today, Indian Football News will take a look at some of the all-time Indian Super League top goal scorer and where they are playing in 2021.

At the top of the list is Ferran Corominas, mostly known as Coro to Indian Football fans. FC Goa man Coro has 47 goals to his name in Indian top tier. He joined the Goan side in 2017. Currently the Spaniard plays for Segunda Division B club Atlético Baleares, he joined them after his contract with Goa expired last summer.

Sunil Chhetri, the Indian football team captain is the closest to Ferran Corominas in terms of all time top goal scorer. Sunil Chhetri has scored 42 goals and currently plays for Bengaluru FC.

Then there is former PSG player Bartholomew Ogbeche. Ogbeche has 34 goals to his name and is currently on loan at Mumbai City FC from another ISL club Kerala Blasters FC. Behind him is ISL's Brazilian mysterio Marcelinho who has scored 32 goals. The Brazilian is currently playing for Esporte Clube Taubaté, a Brazilian regional league club.

Then next one on the list is Fiji superstar, who have made an instant impact in Indian Super League, Roy Krishna. Krishan has 28 goals to his name in 2 season playing in the Indian top-tier league. Roy Krishna currently plays for ATK Mohun Bagan in the Indian Super League.

With 21 goals to his name, next on the list is Nerijus Valskis. The Lithuania striker came to India in 2019 when he signed for Chennaiyin FC. He signed for Jamshedpur FC this season on a 2 year contract and will remain there till the end of 2021-2022 season.

The 2nd Indian player on this list, after Sunil Chhetri, is Jeje Lalpekhlua. The Mizo sniper has scored 20 goals in his Indian Super League career so far. Since the inception of the league, Jeje has played for Chennaiyin FC, but signed for SC East Bengal after his contract expired with Chennai side.

Aridane Santana is next on the list with 19 goals. He played the current season for Hyderabad FC and his contract will expire with them this summer. He is followed by Hugo Boumous, who plays as an attacking midfielder. Boumous has 18 goals to his name so far in the Indian Super League. He joined Mumbai City FC last summer from FC Goa.

It is not possible for us to cover all the name, so now we take a look at some of the notable names on the list.

Iain Hume, who was the star during the initial phase of the Indian Super League, has 25 goals to his name. The Canadian international striker has retired from football and taken management as the step on his journey.

Miku is a well known name to any Indian Super League fan. The former Bengaluru FC striker has scored 18 goals in India during his 2 years stint in Indian Football. He is currently playing for Segunda Division B club Deportivo de La Coruña, where his contract expires this summer.

Stiven Mendoza, a name that no Indian Super League fans would forget. The Colombian striker was a force to reckon with. He has scored 15 goals in 2 seasons that includes golden boot winning 13 goal during the 2014-15 season. He currently plays for Brazilian top-tier team Ceará Sporting Club, which he joined in February 2021.
