Bottom placed Odisha FC hosted 2nd placed ATK Mohun Bagan in match 84 of Hero Indian Super League at the GMC Stadium. The green and maroon hit 4 past Odisha FC while Odisha only managed to get 1 goal.

Manvir Singh's wonder goal

ATK Mohun Bagan, who are not known for an early strike, strike quick as a world-class goal from Manvir Singh gave them the lead in the 11th minute. Marcelinho had the ball, he tried to find Manvir with a pass but Odisha defender cleared it, but as far as Pronay Halder who then laid it for Roy Krishna who had no room shoot and there passed it to Manvir on the right side of the box, from there Manvir took a brilliant left-footed shot that curled into the net to give ATK Mohun Bagan 1-0 lead.

But Odisha FC bought hard and finally their moment came in the last minute of the first half. Paul Ramfangzauva attempted a long-range shot which hit the side post and came back to Cole Alexander's feet, who then strike it hard and Arindam had no chance to save, Odisha FC made 1-1 before the half-time.

2nd half started well for ATK Mohun Bagan as the team got their 2nd goal just 10 minutes into the match, a great pass from Roy Krishna from the left flank found Manvir open on the right flank, who then dribbled the ball into the box and strike hard in the near post and the goalkeeper had no chance to save and another goal to Manvir's name gave ATK Mohun Bagan the lead.

Roy Krishna from the penalty

Everyone knows that ATK Mohun Bagan is known for their late goals, so there were still goals to come, and it did happen. A pass from Pronay from outside the box was blocked by Cole Alexander with his hand and referee awarded a penalty to ATK Mohun Bagan. Roy Krishna took the penalty and finished it with a very cool and calm mind to make it 3 goals for the green and maroon.

Roy Krishna added another goal to his tally, just 3 minutes later the penalty goal. Roy Krishna receives a headed pass from Manvir Singh, he then got passed Shubham Sarangi easily and banged it hard to finish if there were any chances for Odisha FC to come back. 

With this goal, Roy Krishna has now taken the lead in golden boot race with 11 goals, just in front of FC Goa striker Igor Angulo who has 10 goals.

ISL Points Table Update

With this win, ATK Mohun Bagan has closed down the gap to Mumbai City FC by 3 points and there is only 3 points difference between both the teams now. Odisha FC continues to be at the bottom of the table.
