Kylian Mbappe names Lionel Messi assisted goal as his favourite at Stade Vélodrome

Kylian Mbappe picks Lionel Messi assisted goal as favourite at Stade Vélodrome Ligue 1 2024

French superstar Kylian Mbappe is seem likely coming to the end of his stint with the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) with the potential deal with Real Madrid for a summer move. But before that, Mbappe returned to Stade Vélodrome to face-off against Marseille in the Le Classique.

A 10-man Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) blew off Olympique de Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome as PSG continue its dominance in the French Ligue 1. Paris Saint-Germain played more than 60 minutes of the match with 10 men after Lucas Beraldo was sent off at the 40th minute of the match.

However, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) proved why they are the best team playing in the French Ligue 1, and one of the best team in the world. Despite being down to 10 men, PSG took the lead at the 53rd minute of the match when Vitinha scored for the Paris based team.

Vitinha kicked-off a three on two counter-attack. The Portugese midfielder used his teammate Ousmane Dembele to play through and receive a return pass that he slotted home with a cool finish to open the scoring.

Portugese forward Goncalo Ramos scored the 2nd and the decisive goal at the 85th minute to seal the match for PSG. Ramos came onto the field as a substitute for Kylian Mbappe at the 65th minute of the match.

Kylian Mbappe didn't had the best of his outing at the Stade Vélodrome. Mbappe has had a glorious time playing at the venue, having netted home 5 goals at the very same venue, but didn't look at his best in the match.

Meanwhile, prior to the match, Kylian Mbappe, talking to the Téléfoot, revealed his favourite goal scored at the Stade Vélodrome. Mbappe picked the very last goal he scored at the venue.

"I’ve scored some beauties there, but I’d say the last one. The sequence is beautiful, there’s a one-two, a volley, and it’s Messi who passes you the ball, possibly the greatest player in history. We won 3-0; it was a good memory," Kylian Mbappe said to the French media during their discussion.

Despite numerous attempts to renew the French forward's contract, the 25-years-old former World Cup winning sensation looks poised to join his desired Real Madrid CF in the Spanish La Liga for free in the summer.
