Mohammedan Sporting Club (SC) would be looking to lift their third straight Calcutta Football League (CFL) Trophy when they face their Kolkata Derby rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giant in their last Super Six match of the league. Mohammedan SC have won the previous 2 Calcutta Football League title in the last 2 years and is looking at the prospect of lifting their third straight CFL title today when they face off Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the Calcutta Football League (CFL) 2023 match.

Even if Mohammedan draw the match, they will have 42 points, that means only East Bengal can catch them and overtake them if they better their goal difference. However, a slip-up for East Bengal would be enough for Mohammedan to win in this scenario. Now if they lose the match, they will remain on 41 points and East Bengal could still surpass them, so can Diamond Harbour. In that, Mohammedan would have to wait for East Bengal and Diamond Harbour FC's results from other matches and won't be crowned champions today itself.
