Punjab FC's star midfielder Madih Talal is set to join East Bengal FC next season, but before that, the playmaker helped Punjab FC put on a solid performance and beat East Bengal FC to knock them out of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024 playoffs race.
Wilmar Jordan Gill scored brace with Luka Majcen and Madih Talal also on the scoresheet. Other than scoring, Talal displayed wonderful performance that always kept East Bengal FC defence on their toes with his brilliant dribbling skills. Sayan Banerjee scored the lone goal for East Bengal to them equalize at the 25th minute of the match after Punjab FC took the lead at the 19th minute of the match.
Punjab FC midfielder Madih Talal who is going to join East Bengal FC next season, gave Punjab FC the lead again in the 43rd minute of the match as both the teams went into the tunnel with home team Punjab FC leading it 2-1.
Things got even better for Madih Talal and Punjab FC but got worse for East Bengal FC. Wilmar Jordan Gill completed his brace off a brilliant ground cross assist from Madih Talal at the 63rd minute of the match. Then at the 70th minute mark, Punjab FC captain Luka Majcen and Madih Talal combined well to score the 4th goal for Punjab FC.
