The title race in the I-League 2023-2024 season between the Mohammedan Sporting Club (SC) and Sreenidi Deccan FC is one of the most talked about topic in the Indian 2nd tier league, the I-League.
As of writing this, Kolkata based Mohammedan Sporting Club is currently leading the I-League title and promotion race against Hyderabad based Sreenidi Deccan FC. The Black Panthers have a 8 points lead over their opponent with Sreenidi having a match in hand over the league leaders.
This year's I-League title race has been quite exciting. We initially saw Mohammedan, Sreenidi Deccan FC and Real Kashmir were in the title fight, but with their lethal performance, Mohammedan Sporting have overtaken all to the top of the league.
Although Sreenidi Deccan FC is still in the title, this is still a tough task for them to topple Mohammedan and it seems it is almost certain that Mohammedan Sporting will win the I-League and join other Kolkata rivals in the Indian Super League next season.

Mohammedan Sporting Club upcoming fixtures I-League 2023-2024
The league leaders recently picked-up a 2-0 win over NEROCA FC away from home. The next challenge awaits for them in the form of third-placed Real Kashmir FC on the 23rd of March. In the reverse fixture, Real Kashmir FC picked-up a 3-0 win at home.
After Real Kashmir challenge, Mohammedan Sporting Club will be back at home against Inter Kashi on the 30th of March. Their 2nd last fixture sees them go up against Shillong Lajong FC away from home on 6th of April. Meanwhile, the final matchday fixtures will be released at a later date.

Sreenidi Deccan FC have a match in hand over the league leaders Mohammedan. Sreenidi Deccan still have 5 matches left to finish off the season. They beat Gokulam Kerala FC in their recent fixture and will be taking on Churchill Brothers FC on the 24th of March in their next match. They will their back-to-back home match against Rajasthan United FC on 31st of May.
Thereafter, the club have two back-to-back away matches, starting off with the away match against NEROCA FC on the 4th of April and then Inter Kashi on 8th April. Again, the last matchday fixtures will be released at a later date.
