But now, the top 3 teams from each group has made it to the Super Six phase of the league and will face each other in a single leg match. After the end of the Super Six phase, whichever club is at the top of the league table, will be crowned as the champions of the Calcutta Football League 2023 season.
From Group A, Diamond Harbour FC, Mohammedan SC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant have qualified for the Super Six while it is East Bengal, Bhawanipore FC and Kidderpore SC who have qualified from Group B.
Mohammedan has already played against Kidderpore in a match in the Supr Six round. The match between East Bengal and Mohammedan could be one of the title deciding match. While East Bengal have 30 points to their name, Mohammedan have 32 points, that is including the Super Six round match, while East Bengal will play their first match in the Super Six.
