NEROCA FC, the Imphal based team, that plays in the I League, has become a very important name to Indian Football. NEROCA FC has given Indian football some talented players who went on to create a name for themselves.
NEROCA FC, nicknamed Orange Army, came into existence 56 years ago from 2021, in 1965. The club first step foot into the national league when they joined I-League 2nd Division in 2015-16 season.
They won the I-League 2nd Division the very next season to get promoted to the then Indian first-tier league, the I-League. On their very first season in I-League, the Orange Army exceeded all the expectation to finish runners up to Minerva Punjab by 4 points while finished ahead of Mohun Bagan by 1 point.

Felix Chidi Odili
Felix Chidi Odili sits at the top of the list of NEROCA FC's all-time top goal scorers. The Nigerian has scored 25 goals for NEROCA FC in 55 appearances for the club in all the national competition.
Felix Chidi Odili joined NEROCA FC in January 2017 from Dempo Sporting Club. He remained with the Orange Army till the end of 2018-2019 season. He joined Rainbow Athletic Club to play in the Calcutta Football League. However, the Nigerian currently plies his trade in Bangladesh for Rahmatganj.
Singam Subhash Singh
With 16 goals to his name, Singam Subhash Singh stands 2nd on the list. The Manipur born footballer has achieved the feat in 69 appearances, and as of writing this, Singam Subhash Singh is still playing for NEROCA FC. However, the player is linked with a move away from NEROCA FC.
Pritam Singh
Manipur born midfielder Pritam Singh is third on the list with 10 goals in 38 appearances wearing the NEROCA FC jersey.
Pritam Singh came through Mohammedan Sporting Club. He joined NEROCA FC from them in 2016. However after 2 years with them, he left to join Gokulam Kerala. He returned to NEROCA FC in January 2020. However, he currently plays for Roundglass Punjab FC.
Philip Adjah
Philip Adjah is a well known name to Indian football for his goal scoring prowess. Philip Adjah has scored 9 goals in 9 appearances for the Orange Army.
The Ghanaian striker has played all of professional football in India. He first featured for Mohammedan in career. He joined NEROCA FC on January 2020 from Calcutta Football League (CFL) side Calcutta Customs. He played the last season for Gokulam Kerala in the I-League.
NEROCA FC in I-League 2020-2021
NEROCA FC didn't had the most fruitful season as the club finished bottom of the league table with 2 win and 10 losses to their name. And thus, they were relegated from the I-League.
However, later during an All India Football Federation (AIFF) meeting, it was decided that the relegation from I-League 2020-2021 has been frozen and as a result, NEROCA FC were not relegated and will play next season of I-League.
