However, several teams are already very active in the transfer market, there is big demand for Kerala Blasters FC striker Dimitrios Diamantakos.

31-years-old Greek striker Dimitrios Diamantakos has been the talk of the transfer market in India so far with the Kerala Blasters FC striker's contract set to expire this summer.

Several rumours have linked the former Olympiacos striker with Indian Super League (ISL) clubs like Mumbai City FC, East Bengal FC while also having the option to extend his contract with the Kerala Blasters FC itself.

According to a latest update by the Indian Football Transfer News Media, a reliable source, the recent report of Dimitrios Diamantakos having agreed terms with East Bengal FC is still not completely a done deal yet with the side from the East of India. According to the same, Mumbai City FC is still in the race to sign the Greek striker for the next season with Jorge Pereyra Diaz likely to leave.

The source also added that Kerala Blasters FC wants to extend Diamantakos' contract to remain with the Kochi based club, however, the player side asking for a salary in the region of 3 Crore, to which Kerala Blasters FC don't agree with. And until Kerala Blasters decide to change its stance, Dimitrios Diamantakos could be headed to either East Bengal FC or Mumbai City FC.


Dimitrios Diamantakos has been one of the best player for Kerala Blasters FC and in the Indian Super League (ISL) this season. Diamantakos has made 15 appearances this season and has scored 12 goals and 3 assists. He also scored 3 goals in as many appearances in the Kalinga Super Cup 2024.

The Greek striker joined Kerala Blasters FC in the year 2022 from Croatian side Hajduk Split. He has prior experience of playing for the likes of Greek club Olympiacos, Germany's Karlsruher SC and FC St. Pauli.
