Mohun Bagan Super Giant got off to a stunning start to the season, winning their record 17th Durand Cup and flying high in the AFC Cup as well. But, since after the injury to their key player Anwar Ali and several injuries that followed, Mohun Bagan now finds themselves out of the AFC Cup 2023-2024 season and have now hit a rotten form having lost 3 matches straight.
With the 3 defeats, the alarm bells have been rung and Mohun Bagan Super Giant is looking to bring reinforcements for the 2nd half of the season during the January transfer window. The first name who has been linked with a move to Kolkata based club is Hyderabad FC's centre-back Chinglensana Singh, according to various reports.
Chinglensana Singh is a key player for the struggling Hyderabad FC. Hyderabad FC currently serving a transfer ban due to payment dues. Several foreign players have already left the club for same reason. While selling Sana Singh won't be ideal, but the club is hoping to get a considerable transfer fee that they can use to pay the salary dues and lift the transfer ban on them.
Chinglensana Singh has made 10 appearances for the Hyderabad FC this season in the Indian Super League. Sana Singh joined Hyderabad FC from FC Goa in the year 2020 and has been a key player for the club. The Manipur born defender has also played for the Indian football team in several occasions.
