Jamshedpur FC and Indian Navy Football Team are both in a group that includes Mumbai City FC and Mohammedan Sporting Club in Group A.
Going into the match, both the teams had played only 1 match each with they lost. Mumbai scored 5 goals past Jamshedpur while Indian Navy lost 2-1 against the hosts Mohammedan Sporting Club (Mohammedan SC).
It was opportunity for both the teams to have their first point on the board. But in the end, the solitary goal from Jamshedpur FC's Ashley Alban Koli proved good enough for Jamshedpur FC to get the full 3 points on board while Indian Navy remains without a single point.
Jamshedpur FC's youth team gave a good fight to the Indian Navy Football Team. Both the teams played some great football and breaking the deadlock wasn't the easiest of task for the both the teams.
While scoring a goal was difficult for both the teams, but the sides' keepers and defenders were upto the task in hand. But in the end, it is that goal from Koli that gave Jamshedpur FC their first points on the board.

Talking about other groups, East Bengal, Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa are the only clubs to have booked their place in the quarter-final as the group winner of the Group A, Group D and Group E.
