The official draw for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup was conducted on the 24th of August at the AFC House in Malaysia where both the Indian clubs who will take part in the competition, has found out their path in the AFC Cup 2023-2024 season.
The official AFC Cup draw was on 24th August from 11:30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) on AFC's official YouTube channel, The AFC Cup. In the draw, all the teams found out which group they would be part of.
The South Zone group, where both the Indian clubs will take part in, needed no draw since today there is one group in the South Zone with four clubs, Odisha FC, Basundhara Kings, Maziya Sports and Recreation Club and Mohun Bagan Super Giant, who qualified through playoffs, will be part of the group.
While there wasn't much significance of the draw for South Zone clubs, the AFC Cup 2023-2024 draw did still hold some importance for the clubs as they got to know their fixtures in the tournament.
Odisha FC AFC Cup 2023 Fixtures
Odisha FC has qualified for the AFC Cup for the first time after winning the Hero Super Cup 2023. Under Sergio Lobera's guidance, the club will play its first match in the AFC Cup 2023 campaign on the 19th of September against the other Indian side Mohun Bagan Super Giant at home. The return fixture of the match will be played on the 27th November in Kolkata.
Odisha will play Basundhara Kings away from home as their 2nd match of the tournament on the 2nd of October. The return leg in India will be played on the 11th of December meanwhile.
Odisha FC will play against Maziya at home on the 24th of October while the away match in Maldives will be played on the 7th of November.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant AFC Cup 2023 Fixtures
Mohun Bagan SG will be making their 6th appearance in the AFC Cup. Their first match will be against Odisha FC on the 19th of September in Odisha. The return leg of the match will be played on the 27th of November in Kolkata.
Mohun Bagan will then take on Maziya Sports and Recreation Club on the 2nd of October at home. The return leg of the match in Maldives will be played on the 11th of December.
The Green and Maroon brigade will then play Basundhara Kings in their 3rd match of the tournament at home on the 24th of October. The return leg will be played at the King's Arena in Bangladesh on the 7th of October.
