The 2023 Hero Super Cup winners Odisha FC is looking to build on its successful season where they finished 6th in the ISL points table and also won the Super Cup to wrap-up the season.

Odisha FC have today officially announced the signing of the star Fijian striker Roy Krishna for the upcoming season to further strengthen their attack line that already boasts of the Brazilian striker Diego Mauricio.

The Fiji striker Roy Krishna first arrived in the scenes of the Indian football back in the year 2019 and has established himself as one of the best striker ever to play in the Indian Super League.

Roy Krishna joined ATK and helped them to win their 3rd ever Indian Super League title with a total of 15 goals. He then featured for the ATK Mohun Bagan next season and scored a further 16 goals.

His last season for the ATK Mohun Bagan, that is the 2021-2022 season, he had an average season, but still scored 8 goals and 5 assists. He then joined Bengaluru FC for the 2022-2023 season where he scored 10 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.

He would now look to revitalize his career under the guidance of one of the most successful manager in the history of the Indian Super League, Sergio Lobera, when he takes the field in 2023-2024 season wearing the Odisha FC colours.

Despite a good season under the coaching of Joseph Gombau, the club parted ways with him and then appointed former FC Goa and Mumbai City FC's ISL League Shield and Hero ISL winning boss Sergio Lobera.

Ever since joining the team, Lobera has brought his former students to his new club. Defender Mourtada Fall, Ahmed Jahouh, Lenny Rodrigues and Amey Ranawade have joined Odisha FC since. They have also signed Lalliansanga Renthlei, Laldinliana Renthlei and Ashangbam Aphaoba Singh.

The club has also let its best Indian player Nandha Kumar Sekar join East Bengal while Carlos Delgado and Diego Mauricio are the only 2 foreign players who have remained with the team from the previous season.

Other than that, Sergio Lobera has brought with him former Bengaluru FC, ATK and ATK Mohun Bagan midfielder Edu Garcia from their stint in China. The club is also chasing the signature of Mohun Bagan winger Liston Colaco, but a deal at the moment looks really difficult.
