Kolkata based Indian Super League (ISL) club Mohun Bagan Super Giant is set to extend contract with their star midfielder Dimitrious Petratos, also regarded as Dimi Petratos by the club fans after his stunning performance for the club in the ongoing Indian football season.

The former Australia international Dimitri Petratos has been by far one of the best player for the Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) this season. And the midfielder who also can play as a forward, is set to be rewarded with a contract extension ahead of the next season.

Dimitri Petratos has been in rich vein of form this season. He has appeared in 16 Indian Super League (ISL) matches and has 11 goal contributions with 8 goals and 3 assists. Petratos was the only ray of light for the Mohun Bagan fans this season when attacking duo Jason Cummings and Armando Sadiku were not convincing enough in the first-half of the season.

Dimitri Petratos joined Mohun Bagan Super Giant under their previous identity known as ATK Mohun Bagan and guided the club to their maiden ISL Cup beating Bengaluru FC in the final in a thrilling penalty shootout.

In his first season in India, Petratos appeared in 23 matches in the Indian Super League (ISL), including the playoffs and finished the season with 12 goals and 7 assists. He has carried his performance to the new season, helping the club win the Durand Cup for the record 17th time with the winning goal against arch-rivals East Bengal FC.

In all competitions in 2023-2024 season, Dimitri Petratos, the 31-years-old, has made 28 appearances this season and has 13 goals and 7 assists, becoming one of the club's fan favourite for his performance.
