While the Indian football fans were quite excited to see its future take the field in the upcoming India U23 match against Malaysia U23 in a friendly in Malaysia, but they have been left disappointed after recent confirmation from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed there won't be any broadcast of the match.
This is after a long time that the Indian football team U23 age group will be in action after they last played a football match in the 2023 AFC Asian Games.
Former Indian footballer Naushad Moosa is going to be in-charge of the team in Malaysia with the regular India U23 football team head coach Mahesh Gawli is going to be alongside Indian senior team head coach Igor Stimac in the upcoming Indian football team's World Cup qualifier matches against Afghanistan, which will be played parallel to India U23's matches against Malaysia U23.
The Indian football fans were quite excited to witness its future generation play and observe the style and quality of their play. But all the hopes of the Indian football fans were crushed by the All India Football Federation (AIFF)'s announcement that India U23 football team's matches against Malaysia U23 will not be telecast or live streaming.
In its statement, AIFF wrote that Malaysia U23 vs India U23 football match in Malaysia will be played behind closed doors. This is due to Malaysia U23 team currently preparing for its upcoming AFC U23 Asian Cup campaign, that will be played in April.
The India U23 vs Malaysia U23 football match will be played on the 22nd of March and 25th March, with both the matches to kick-off at 7:30 P.M Indian Standard Time (IST).
Meanwhile, head coach Naushad Moosa has confirmed the 23-member squad who will travel to Malaysia for the two matches.
