LA Galaxy's campaign in the ongoing Leagues Cup 2023 has ended in a terrible fashion as the club lost its latest group stage match against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC by 2-1 goal and finish bottom of the points table.
LA Galaxy, also known as the Los Angeles Galaxy, have just had a terrible campaign to forget in the ongoing Leagues Cup 2023 in the United States of America (USA).
LA Galaxy, regarded as one of the biggest team in the USA, in the Major League Soccer (MLS) and in the whole of North American continent, lost 2 matches in a row to be eliminated from the Leagues Cup 2023 run.
After having lost the first match of their campaign against the Club Leon of Mexico, LA Galaxy lost their 2nd match of the competition against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC from the MLS itself and now finds itself out of the competition.
Vancouver steal an added-time winner vs LA Galaxy
Vancouver beat LA Galaxy by 2-1 scoreline where the goal scoring was opened by former FC Barcelona player Riqui Puig, who gave the lead to LA Galaxy in just the 16th minute of the match. They ended the first-half on lead.
But, thanks to a own goal from LA's Calegari at the 81st minute and then a brilliant added time winner by Brian White at the 90+1 minute of the match sealed the victory for the Vancouver side, who sits 2nd in their group with 4 points from 2 matches behind Club Leon.
