Saudi Arabia is currently on a huge money spending mode with the country's goverment playing a huge role in bringing some of the top European footballer to play in their league, the Saudi Pro League. And the latest name to join the list is Marseille forward Alexis Sanchez.
Since after legendary Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Al Nassr side in the Saudi Pro League, the league has gained an immense popularity with major growth in fan following and helping in its marketing as well.
Now after the deal with Ronaldo was done, Saudi Arabia's next big target is to get the signature of the defending world champion Lionel Messi, who is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain. It is believed that Al-Nassr's direct rival Al-Hilal have offered Messi a 400 Million deal.

While that deal is yet to further progress, Al-Ittihad have recently struck a deal with the Real Madrid's veteran striker Karim Benzema. And now the latest name who could be heading to Saudi Arabia is Chilean centre-forward Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez is currently a member of the Olympique Marseille football club since the year 2022, joining them from Inter Milan. Now that his deal is expiring with the club this season, Saudi based Pro League club Al Fateh FC wants to sign the striker.
According to renowned football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Al Fateh has already offered a contract to Alexis Sánchez. He added in his statement that the club from Saudi Arabia has offered a €10 Million salary to be a part of the club till 2024 with an option for another year.

Aged 34-years-old, Sanchez had a very good season with the Olympique Marseille playing in the French first tier league, Ligue 1. He featured in 35 matches for Marseille and scored 14 goals and also contributed with 3 assists. He also scored 2 goals in the UEFA Champions League and as many goals in the Coupe de France, the French Cup tournament.
Al Fateh has a decent squad and is looking to make mark for next season with some quality signings. The team finished 6th in the Saudi Pro League 2022-2023 points table behind the likes of champions Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Shabab and Al-Taawoun.
As for Marseille, they finished in 3rd place in the Ligue 1 behind champions Paris Sain-Germain and RC Lens. Alexis Sanchez was their top scorer by a mile with 14 goals in the league while their 2nd top goal scorer in the league is Nuno Tavares with 6 goals.
