ISL 2021-2022: Twitter reacts to Joni Kauko scoring last minute equalizer vs Kerala Blasters

It was all but chaos in the final couple of minutes of the Kerala Blasters FC vs ATK Mohun Bagan match in the 2021-2022 season of the Indian Super League (ISL) as Finnish midfielder Joni Kauko equalised for ATK Mohun Bagan in the last moments of the match.

Kerala Blasters FC hosted ATK Mohun Bagan FC in match number 94 of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-2022 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Goa on the 19th of February.

It was always set to be a top-class match, where a win for the home team Kerala Blasters would have meant that they would have jumped ATK Mohun Bagan to 2nd place in the league, while a win today for ATK Mohun Bagan would have meant that they would overtake Hyderabad FC for the top of the table position.

However, it did not started as the Mariners had expected as they concededed early on at the 7th minute of the match as Kerala skipper Adrian Luna scored the opening goal of the match.

However, the celebration was short lived as ATK Mohun Bagan's Aussie forward David Williams scored from a low cross of Pritam Kotal at just the 8th minute of the match.

Both teams created opportunities, but failed to convert as the went back inside the tunnel on level with 1 goal each. The 2nd half was more of a physical class, but it was once again Kerala Blasters captain Adrian Luna who gave Kerala Blasters the lead at the 64th minute of the match.

Kerala Blasters put their life on the ground while trying to defend and maintain their 1 goal, and got help from the ATK Mohun Bagan themselves too as they struggle to finish off the moves and opportunities that were created.

Going into the added time, it was believed that Kerala Blasters have done it. But there was one last run left in ATK Mohun Bagan players as Mohun Bagan's Finland born midfielder Joni Kauko put the ball at the back of the net with just seconds left in the match.

Twitter went crazy as ATK Mohun Bagan fans rejoice, while Kerala Blasters' fans' heart was broken.
