Des Buckingham signs 2 years contract extension with Mumbai City FC till 2025
Mumbai City FC have set the Indian Super League alight, all thanks to their brilliant footballing display. And with rumours circulating around the social media that their head coach Des Buckingham may leave the team to coach New Zealand national team or the Melbourne City FC in A-League, the club has put all those rumours aside and contract for Des Buckingham till 2025.

With their striker Prince Ibara unavailable for the rest of the season due to injury, they brought in the services Spanish midfielder Pablo Perez as his replacement. Perez used to play for Sporting Gijon in Spain before coming to India.
When is winter transfer window in India?
The summer window was open in India from 9th June till the 31st August. The winter transfer window, or basically the January transfer window starts from 1st January and runs till 31st January. Note that, teams can still sign players so are free agents (not contracted with a player) outside the transfer window.
What is a Transfer Window in Football?
A transfer window is basically a period when the football clubs are allowed sign and sell player they feel doesn't fit in their playing style. There are normally two transfer windows in a football season, the summer transfer window that is from June and August and the winter transfer window in January 1st till 31st January, the same is the case in Indian football as well.
