Indian Super League 2020-2021 runners-up ATK Mohun Bagan have confirmed the signing of the Indian International winger Liston Colaco from Hyderabad FC for an undisclosed fee.

Indian Super League club ATK Mohun Bagan have today officially announced the signing of Liston Colaco from Hyderabad FC for a reportedly record transfer fee for a domestic player.

The green and maroon brigade failed to win the ISL trophy after reaching the grand finale only on their debut season, Mumbai City FC walked out with the trophy after defeating them 2-1 in the final. Also, the Mariners lost out to Mumbai City FC for a slot in the AFC Champions League.

The team has certainly started their preparation for next season even though their current season is not over yet with the AFC Cup group stages still to come. And they have started their team building for next season with a record purchase of Liston Colaco which is said to be more than 1 crore. According to a press release by Hyderabad FC, Liston Colaco will join the green and maroon brigade on 1st June and thus will miss out the AFC Cup group stage matches.

He had a wonderful season with Hyderabad FC making 19 appearances in which he scored 2 goals and assist thrice. And as a result of that, he was called up to the Indian national team for the friendlies against Oman and UAE. He made his debut against UAE in which India suffered an embarrassing 6-0 defeat.

Liston started his football journey at the Salgaocar youth team before he was snapped up by FC Goa. After he failed to get much game time for FC Goa, the youngster decided to move to Hyderabad FC last year and his decision to do so turned out to be a great one for him.
